Busy, Busy...

Hey! Okay, so I've been really busy lately with school so I won't be able to post much (not like I've been consistent in the past anyway- but that's beside the point!). I'm thinking about setting a certain day each week that I'll post here but we'll see how that goes... Anyway, like I said, I've been extremely busy but I'll try to post when I can!

Thanks for understanding! :) Maybe I can do a "real" post later on tonight...

Beauty of the Heart

Okay, so the other day on the RL blog, Mrs. Rue was having us vote on what the next topic should be. One of the ones that I voted for was worrying about weight and having to look perfect all the time. Well, after I posted my comment, I prayed about it and asked God to really help me get over thinking that I need to be thinner and prettier. Every time I've looked in a mirror the past few days, even though it's the same person that I see, I'm no longer looking at the outside. God opened my eyes and has been letting me see myself how He sees me. It amazing what a difference it makes! Instead of saying to myself, "Oh my word...I really need to lose weight." or "I really wish I was prettier." I see my God-given potential. Yesterday I looked in the mirror and said, "Wow! I'm really pretty!" and it wasn't with the attitude of 'everybody look at me because I'm so pretty' or anything. It was just like, for the first time I could really see myself as what God has created me to be. :)
I can see myself as loved by God and beautiful in His eyes. What do you see in the mirror?

Our Worlds Collide

Lyrics to the song 'Our Worlds Collide' by BarlowGirl

Tonight the stars are dancing to the song the angels sing
I hear You whisper on the breeze
And every sound echoes the rhythm of Your heart as I begin to fade into
This lovely night
I'm alive

'Cause our worlds collide
I'm lost inside, heaven kisses me tonight
Your heart with mine
It beats in time
Now I know why I'm alive

Now that I've found You I could never let You go away
You've left my life never the same
Sing over me and let me hear the words You wrote for me
Whisper the words that set my spirit free
Sing to me

'Cause our worlds collide
I'm lost inside, heaven kisses me tonight
Your heart with mine
It beats in time
Now I know why I'm alive

Praying Against Sickness...and I Had a Job Interview!!

Well, as you might gather from the title of this post, my family's sick...Some kind of stomach bug has been going around. The only people who haven't gotten it yet is my dad and myself. I'm praying that it stops NOW and does not spread to those of us who have been blessed enough to not get it yet! Please pray especially for my dad that he doesn't get it because then he'd have to take of work and right now he really can't... Thanks!

I had a job interview today! My first ever. I was so nervous! I tried not to be but I couldn't help it! I think it went pretty well. I really hope that I get this job and...yeah. The manager told me that he'd call by Friday so hopefully he wants a me to come back for a second interview or he wants to hire me! I hope it's the latter!

Oh! And I just want to add a congratulations to Mrs. Rue (aka- the famous author, Nancy Rue) who became a grandmother on Friday! Praying blessings on her, her daughter and beautiful little granddaughter. :)
I'm going to end this post with the poem that I wrote for baby Maeryn (Mrs. Rue's granddaughter).

Child of God (Written by Sarah Elizabeth- Copyright 2011)
Taking breaths and learning things
Who knows what tomorrow'll bring?
Eyes open wide to look around
Who are these people looking proud?
All of them, their focus on you
Watching, waiting for what you'll do
Time'll go on and you'll grow up fast
Try, we will to make this day last
I stare into your little face
Here in my heart you have a place
You're young, you're sweet, and special too
Lots of people really love you
A child of God is what you are
Wherever you go, near or far
Please don't forget this simple truth
So learn it now while in your youth
Oh, we don't want this time to end
So we'll sit and tell you again
A child of God is what you are
Wherever you go, near or far

Be blessed and have a wonderful day!

Sorry!

Oh, my... It's been a LONG time! Hasn't it? :) Sorry about that. Moving totally threw me off and then my laptop died so I didn't have a computer for a couple of months...but now I have a new computer and we're pretty much settled in our new house. So hopefully I can post a little more.

Okay...I'm not sure where I should start! It's been so long since I've done a post! Haha! Well, at Bethany World Prayer Center, they've been having P21 (Pursuit 21- Twenty-one Days of Spiritual Intensity). We've had services every weekday night. It's been really good! Sunday will be Day 21.

Last night we sang this song so I'll share it with you!

"I Wanna Dance" By Deluge

I sought the Lord He heard my cry
And came to my rescue
When I was lost apart from Him
He showed me what was true
So I will love Him and I will show Him

I wanna dance like there's no one else around
Get lost in this freedom I have found
Your love has set me free so I will dance for You
I'll dance for You

It's Biblical so don't be critical
You can't hold it in
You shouldn't have to
Forget your dignity stop being pretty
Are you ready to go now

Where Did October Go?

I cannot believe that it is nearly the end of October! Life's been crazy for me this last month so I apologize for my lack of blogging.

Anyway, the other day my sister and I watched all of BBC's adaption of North and South for the first time. I must say that I am in love with Mr. Thorton! Mr. Darcy has been demoted from #1 in my mental list of my favorite fictional male characters... at least for now. But, yes, I LOVED the movie North and South and cannot wait to read the book! North and South was a bit more on the dreary side than Pride and Prejudice was but I still enjoyed it. Once I get North and South memorized, I'll be moving on to Emma and then whatever I can find. =) Please feel free to leave suggestions of good Jane Austen / Louisa May Alcott / Elizabeth Gaskell type books that have been made into movies!

Note: I know this post was a little different than all of my previous posts but I needed to do something light-hearted because today was CRAZY! One of my sisters broke her foot and my youngest brother was having trouble breathing earlier. I was crying and praying so much that I was emotionally drained so I needed to relax and get my mind off of all of that for a little while...
