A New Post!
Yes, I know I haven't posted on here in a while... but I did write a new post only not for my own blog. Today, I was a guest blogger on Nancy Rue's blog for teen girls. You can read my post by clicking HERE. Enjoy! :)

The Versatile Blogger Award
Okay, first off, I must apologize to you all for not updating my blog for 21 weeks. *GASP* I know! Sorry! But you can all thank Nicole (forgivenmess.blogspot.com) for awarding me with a blogger award...because if she didn't I really don't know if I ever would've even thought of posting here anytime soon.
Well, on with the show!
I award...
Well, on with the show!
- Thank the person who awarded you.
- List seven random things about yourself.
- Award 15 others with this award.
Thank you so, so much, Nicole!! :) Like I already said, if you hadn't awarded me, I probably won't be posting on here now. Haha
And now... seven random things:
- I just recently turned 18 but apparently I look a lot younger... Customers at work ask me ALL the time how old I am. My favorite is: "Are you even old enough to work here?" I so want to tell them (with a straight face), "No, I'm breaking the law. Don't tell anyone, okay?"
- I'm a Team Trainer at Chick-fil-A.
- My family has two dogs - a Yorkshire Terrier named Snickers and a Rat Terrier/ Chihuahua mix named CeCe.
- I'm the third out of six kids.
- I quote "Pride and Prejudice" quite regularly.
- My favorite TV shows are "I Love Lucy," "The Dick Van Dyke Show," and "The Big Valley." (All older shows but my favorites nonetheless!)
- I am horrible at keeping up with a blog (but I think you kind of figured that out already...)
I award...
- Mary Catherine (http://glitteringcompositions.blogspot.com)
- Melody (http://summerbucketlisting.blogspot.com)
- Alisha (http://mercymiracle.blogspot.com)
- Rachel (http://whatdoyaexpect.blogspot.com)
- Chelsea (http://clubchea.blogspot.com)
- Talia (http://girlzofgodbook.blogspot.com)

- Any other blogger who would like to do this :)

11 Things
I got this from Talia's blog (http://girlzofgodbook.blogspot.com/). You're supposed to tell 11 random things about yourself, answer the 11 questions the tagger asked, make up 11 new questions, tag 11 people (or however many you want) and let them know on their blog. Here we go! :)
-Eleven Random Things About Me-
(1) I love the BBC's adaptions of Jane Austen's books.
(2) I can pretty much quote all of 'Finding Nemo' due to the fact that my little brother used to watch it at least once a day.
(3) For college, I want to get a music education degree and teach private piano lessons.
(4) I took gymnastics lessons for 8 years.
(5) I have lived in three different states.
(6) I quote movies/TV shows all the time (usually just when it makes sense in the conversation).
(7) I know how to knit, crochet, sew, and cross-stitch but I rarely do...
(8) My favorite colors are pink and purple.
(9) I hate alligators and crocodiles... They scare me. I don't even like them when they're in cages at the zoo.
(10) I love speaking in "old English" just simply for the enjoyment of doing so. :) I try not to do it in public too much because people tend to give me weird looks.
(11) I do not like driving over bridges - especially long ones.
-My Answers to Talia's Questions-

(9) A name you love? Boy name: David Girl name: Elizabeth

The Early Bird Gets the.... FUN TIMES! :)
I got to hang out and have an early morning Bible study with Mrs. Rue and my lovely blog sisters today! :) Woke up at about 5 am and gathered my laptop, Bible, journal and made some hot green tea and I was ready to roll! At 5:30, we started the fun and prayed, chatted, read, wrote, and discovered together for about an hour. I've learned so much from our weekend retreat - I only wish that we could all be together for real! Can't wait for the final beauty retreat session this afternoon!

Christmas!
Okay, so it's not really the Christmas season yet but I always get into it way early. :) My favorite time of the year is November through December. Thanksgiving Day is my favorite actual holiday-day but the Christmas season is my favorite time of year. I love everything about it! The excitement in the air, the decorations, the lights, drinking hot chocolate, watching Christmas movies, baking cookies, eating candy canes, making fudge, the stores constantly busy with shoppers looking to get presents for everyone on their list- what's not to love about all of that? As great and wonderful as all of that is, something is missing. Something great. Perhaps it's the whole purpose of our festivities... Christmas is about us celebrating Jesus' birth but so many times we get so caught up in the celebration and the things that we're "supposed" to be doing that we forget the reason why. As the Christmas season starts to come around once again, no matter if you're like me and are already getting into or if you're dreading it, be sure to keep in mind the reason behind it all. It might just change everything.
One more thing- here's a link to something my pastor posted on his blog last Christmas eve: "A Few Questions on Christmas Eve" Very thought provoking and it goes perfectly with the whole point of my post today. Be sure to check it out!

First Post!
Since this is my first post, it will be a little more boring than my other ones will be. ;) Anyway, I'll tell you a little about myself and about this blog in general.
The name of this blog comes from two places- Proverbs 3:5-6, which say "Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He's the one who will keep you on track." and also from where I am in my life right now. I'm learning what it means to trust God 100% and let Him have complete control of my life.
I'm a Christian and pretty much everything on here will have something to do with God. I'm still not sure what I want this blog to be exactly so I'll be working things out as I go. I might do some "here's what's up with me" posts but most likely a lot of my posts will be either Scripture verses, Christian song lyrics or notes from my pastor's sermons. So, I hope you all enjoy my new blog!
